Just when you think its impossible to get any more appalled, outraged and pissed off at the privileged, ignorant, male asses running #Texas, the Tx AG, & wannabe governor, #GregAbbott opens his mouth. Abbotts against enacting legal protections to insure Texas women receive #equalpay for equal work bkz he says, its not a real problem in Tx. These words from the very state AG who pays women in his office $6,000.00 LESS THAN men doing the same job. Yes, you read that right: $6,000 LESS. A pay disparity that exists from the start of employment; so he cant blame sick kids or bad performance reviews for the pay difference. No, Abbott pays women attorneys less solely because they are female. I may be wrong Mr Abbott, but I think more than a few Tx women consider it a very real, and very big problem. I know I do. And although you might not remember me, I am the female litigator who wiped the floor of your Houston court room with the 2 male plaintiff attorneys in a med mal, pregnancy termination lawsuit. And I am completely confident that my client, his insurance company, and all 12 jurors (they kind of said so, after we won) thought it was worth a lot more to have me in the court room than it was to have those two men who sat across from me during the trial. #JustSaying
