Justin Lin is replacing Orci as the next Star Trek director. Of course the internet is full of people wanting to shoot him down and spread negativity. Most would have been thrilled to see Jonathan Frakes direct again. However, I have done some research since finding out about the new director and Im intrigued. Listening to him talk about his craft gives me the impression that he could be extraordinary. He might not be just a good director. I get the feeling he could become Star Trek family.
