Justins sick, but he is going to be ok after several days of meds and rest. Heres a rundown of his trip to the er - what is now last night: after being sick since Tuesday, fever began going up again Wednesday evening from 101.4 at 4:15, to 103 at 6:15, A good friend of his named Brooke drove him and stayed with him till they took us back into a room. IVd him with antibiotics and fluids. Nasal swab was negative for flu, white blood cell count was up, CT scan was clear, and spinal tap was negative for meningitis - doc was never concerned that it was possibly the bad kind. Doc was therefore convinced that hes got some bad flulike viral infection. Meds are Tamiflu, and alternating ibuprofen and Tylenol every four hours till fevers gone and hes feeling better. Thank you for your continued prayers for him, and the many, many others who are in even greater need.
