KA ABIA BILIE ONYE NKEM, INTRODUCTION My name is Ndukwe Iko. I am a native of Okon-Aku Ohafia, Ohafia Local Government Area. Driven by zeal and compassion to intervene in the excruciating plight of our suffering people, I am contesting to win the seat to represent our dear people in the House of Representatives (Arochkwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency) on platform of the Progressive Peoples’ Alliance (PPA) come February 14, 2015. TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT AND BUSINESS I am a trained, and accomplished industrial engineering technologist. I worked in Guinness Nigeria Plc for ten (10) years, during the period I served meritoriously in various engineering and management functions and capacities and had the privilege to be trained locally and overseas. I voluntarily resigned from Guinness, i set up an international engineering company called TASK INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL LIMITED in 1997. (http//:taskintertechnical). Up until now TASK INTERNATIONAL has carried out design, construction, and installation of many factories and manufacturing processes in Nigeria and West Africa- for such world-class firms as: Guinness /Diageo plc, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Nigeria Bottling company Plc (coca-cola), International Breweries Plc. SABMiller/ Intafact Beverages (HERO Beer,Onitsha) PZ Cussions Plc, Dangote group Plc, Flourmills of Nigeria Plc, Honeywell group /flourmills, Wamco (Friesland) and many others. We have delivered some of the biggest industrial plant projects in the world, viz, Golden sugar plant apapa, lagos, PZ Detergent spray tower, ikorodu, Lagos, etc.We have won many awards of excellence along the line in specialized engineering including, 5 times best industrial engineering company in west Africa. STEWARDSHIP In community leadership, I have served my people in many positions in the time past. I have been the president of Ohafia Improvement Union (OIU) inc,. Lagos. for seven (7) mandatory years, I am the president General of Okon-Aku Development Union worldwide ,for five (5) years running. Patron Federated Arochukwu Youth Association, Patron National Association Ohafia students and many other associations and bodies. VALUES AND PHILOSOPHY Goodness, life and justice for all has been the foundation upon which my philosophy to life is built hence I chose to live the life of service to mankind and her inalienable earthly natural co-inhabitants, leading to making all and God Almighty, happy. I strive daily to be a good neighbor and good friend to all, to live peaceably with all. As a philanthropist, I have helped to educate more than 350 graduates in Technical Colleges, Polytechnics and Universities and see to it that they are gainfully employed. I have also offered help in any community I find myself to ameliorate their public, social and health needs for more than two decades. I love and care for women and youth, young and old. In governance, I believe in simple, direct impacting government, propelled by integrity, courage, conviction, character, conscience and clear vision that will guaranty more governance less government. At work, I am a critical thinker, a team player, and extra hours worker. I SEE MYSELF MORE AS A SERVANT, A LEADER OF MY PEOPLE THAN JUST THE POLITICIAN YOU KNOW. I know our challenges, Bad Roads, Unemployment, Poverty eradication, Woman and youth welfare and empowerment, total lack of government Infrastructure /amenities and Institutions, poor health Care facilities and personnel, Inter-State Boundary disputes, etc. I will work to address all the issues firmly in addition with performing my statutory legislative functions inside and outside the green chambers.
