KANENGONI FINALLY MEETS HIS MATCH. It all began last Sunday, 23 March 2014 when Kanengoni and his security guards captured Prosper Pwanyiwa near Magobo dam for alleged fish porching. They detained him at the piggery section for three hrs and severely beat him in the process before handing him over to Shamva ZR Police. Prosper is young brother to Leman Pwanyiwa, a prominent MDC activist. Apparently, Kanengoni is also a staunch ZANU PF supporter. The matter effectively set Leman and Kanengoni on collusion course. Leman is said to have pounced at the police station, incensed by his brothers beating, he caused the opening of a docket against Kanengoni and other guards for assault. Again, he caused the release of Prosper from police custody on medical grounds. Informed of this development, the invincible Kanengoni. Or is he INVINCIBLE? was caught unawares. It is understood that Kanengoni sensed danger and quickly moved in to plead with Leman to have the case against him and his fellows withdrawn and in return he would withdraw young Pwanyiwas case. But on Lemans terms, both cases would be withdrawn and Kanengoni would pay an undisclosed amount of money for Prospers medical attention. Again, we understand that Leman told Kanengoni to stop the brutal assaults on suspected offenders from now on otherwise he (Leman) will petition him to court. On Thursday at Wadzanai T/Ship we saw Kanengoni driving his truck with Leman in the passengers seat. They were said to have been preparing Affidavits for the cases withdrawal. At the time of publishing this story, the affidavits were said to have completed and commissioned and Kanengoni had paid the agreed money. Kanengoni is not invincible after all. LESSON: people should thrive to know and exercise their rights whether as accussed persons or not. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW. As Shamva Residents lets unite and not let political differences interfere
