KARACHI, Dec 9, 2013: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Patron-In-Chief , Pakistan Peoples Party has reiterated commitment of his Party to protection of human rights of every citizen of Pakistan without any exclusion. “Nothing is more important than basic human rights in any democratic and civilized society,” PPP Patron-In-Chief stated on the eve of World Human Rights Day being observed all over the globe tomorrow. He pointed out that safeguarding the basic rights of the masses has been the founding principle of Pakistan Peoples Party led by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and vigorously pursued by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. In the course of valiant struggle for the people’s human rights, both the martyrs sacrificed their lives for better future of our generations. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said basic human rights are not any kind of concession, privilege or a favour adding that scourge of terrorism has become the major threat to human rights. He said Pakistan Peoples Party was perhaps the only political party in the country, which has a full-fledged and functional Human Rights Wing to keep vigilance against the abuse of people’s basic rights. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked the Federal government to adopt concrete steps to curb violations of human rights adding Pakistan Peoples Party won’t tolerate ignorant attitude towards the issue.
