KAS Selection List-23 Result of Combined Competitive Examination 2012 – Deployment of Candidates for Medical Examination. NOTIFICATION No. PSC/EX-13/61 DATED: 23.07.2013 Whereas, General Administration Department vide communication no. GAD(Ser)Genl/181/2011 dated:22.03.2012 referred 65 posts to the J&K Public Service Commission to be filled up throughthe Combined Competitive Examination 2012; and Whereas, these posts were advertised by the Commission videnotification no. PSC/Exm-12/58 dated: 09.04.2012; and Whereas, in response to the above advertisement, 18,257 Application Forms were received; and Whereas, Preliminary Examination was conducted on 05.08.2012 in which 14,403 candidates appeared in full in the Examination; and Whereas, as per the criteria fixed by the Commission, 1625 candidates were declared to have qualified for the mains examination vide Notification No.PSC/EX-12/116 dated:28.08.2012; and Whereas, 1606 candidates applied for appearing in the main Examination; and Whereas, J&K Combined Competitive Service (Main) Examination, 2012 was conducted from 02.03.2012 to 01.04.2012 bothat Jammu and Srinagar; and Whereas, 1203 candidates appeared in all papers; and Whereas, as per the criteria fixed by the Commission in accordance with the rules under SRO 387 of 2008 dated 01.12.2008, 226 candidates were declared to have qualified for interview; and Whereas, the interview of the said candidates was conducted w.e.f 01.07.2013 to 19.07.2013; and Whereas, only 224 candidates appeared in the interview and 2 candidates viz, Amanullah Tak (RollNo.0200159) and Nandni Salaria (RollNo. 0200312) did not appear in the interview. As per the Rule 9(1) of SRO 387, these two candidates are ineligible for being recommended for appointment not withstanding the marks obtained by them in the written examination. Now therefore, in pursuance of the provisions contained in SRO 387 of 2008 dated 01.12.2008, read with J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examinations) Rules 2005 as well as the above decision taken by the Commission; i) the result of 224 candidates who had appeared in Combined Competitive Examination 2012 interviews at Srinagar w.e.f. 01.07.2013 to 19.07.2013 is hereby notified as per Annexure-I to this notification. ii) consequent upon (i) above 65 candidates as per Annexure-II to this notification and other rules on the subject, in order of their aggregate merit in the written as well as interview read with J&K Reservation Rules (SRO 294) are hereby directed to report to the respective Medical Board as indicated against each for conduct of their Medical Examination in accordance with rules on the subject. Necessary intimation to the candidates as per Annexure-II called for Medical Examination is being sent separately. However, those who do not receive the call letters should presume this notification as call letter and reportto the Principal Medical College Srinagar/Jammu as the case may be for Medical Examination. The dates for Medical Examination shallbe notified separately. The candidate will have to pay a fee as prescribed before Medical check-up. Note-1: Mere calling a candidate(s) for Medical Examination shall not confer any right on him/her/them to be recommended for selection, which shall depend upon his/her/their position in the merit list and subject to the medical fitness for the services and also the availability of posts in the service. Note-2: Detailed marks card shall be dispatched to all the candidates after completion of the examination process and forwarding the select list to the government for making appointments. Note-2: Any candidate who has taken the examination and is desirous of undertaking scrutiny of his/her marks and rechecking of his/her result in accordance with J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examinations) Rules, 2005 may apply to the Commissionwithin one month from the date of declaration of the result for which a fee of Rs.100/- per paper through a Demand Draft drawn from any branch of J&K Bank Ltd. in favour ofSecretary & Controller of Examinations J&K Public Service Commission. The scrutiny shall in no case mean any re-evaluation of the marks awarded by the Examiner and would mean rechecking of the totaling of the marks awarded by the Examiner and if any question has been left unmarked. The lists notified are subject to the outcome of writ petition pending before any Competent Court of jurisdiction. Sd/- (Dr. T.S.
