KBR has an open position for Senior HR Specialist – Retirement and Savings Plans (Requisition #1029031) in Houston, Texas. The Sr. HR Specialist – Retirement and Savings Plan is responsible for the retirement and savings plans. The incumbent is responsible for managing, developing and reviewing employee communications for retirement and health and welfare plans, as well as assisting in implementation of any new benefit feature and investment funds. In addition, this person will be the subject matter expert for all retirement plans including defined contribution and defined benefit plans. Essential Job Functions: • Effectively manage relationships with third-party vendors. • Oversee nondiscrimination and any other audit testing. • Identify compliance issues/concerns, assist in reviewing plan amendments. • Research plan issues and prepare to resolve in accordance with regulations. • Oversee governmental annual filings (Form 5500) • Remain current on legislative and IRS changes relative to plan regulations, procedure changes and mandated disclosures. • Work effectively with internal and international departments as needed. • Provide retirement plan presentations. • Assist with special projects pertaining to pension or retirement and savings • Perform other related duties as directed. Requirements: • Bachelors degree in business or closely related discipline. • 5-10 years of experience. • Knowledge of retirement plan regulations and terminology. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and act as a project manager. • Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. • Strong analytical ability and attention to details. • Strong verbal and written communications skills. • Proven ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
