Planche training is very taxing on the shoulders, wrist and core. The goal is to hold each stage for 1 minute. The stages are: Frogstand low elbows, Frogstand high elbows, the Tuck, advanced Tuck, Staddle. To find out your hold time a optimum set number try this. Whatever stage you are up to find out your maximum hold in secs, divide that by 2 and add 1. This is the amount of time you will hold each set multiply that to get a total of one minute. Example: I can hold a max. 15sec tuck hold. 15/2+1=8.5sec (round it to 9secs) 60secs\9= 6.6 So I will do 6 sets x 9sec holds.
