KENTUCKY FIREFIGHTER DIES IN THE LINE OF DUTY The Secret List FireFighterCloseCalls It is with deep regret we notify you of the Line of Duty Death of Firefighter Charles Charlie Goff of McQuady Volunteer Fire and Rescue in Falls of Rough, Kentucky. Falls of Rough is not far from Owensboro, in Breckinridge County, western Kentucky. Firefighter Goff suffered a fatal heart attack early this morning just after returning home from an emergency response. The response was to a multiple-vehicle crash in which five patients were critically injured and three had to be extricated. NOTE: One of the critically-injured patients in that crash was a fellow Firefighter and member of McQuady Fire and Rescue. Firefighter Goff was 53 years old and had been a member of the Department for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife - Cathy; daughter - April and son - Tyler. Our condolences to all affected.
