KGAMA THE JACK. Its not that i like commenting about him, its just that he never seizes to amaze with his divergence from reality. This a man who has the Nation naked and dancing infront of him come so called presidential Holidays. This is where bootlickers shower him with all manner of praise all in the guise of Promoting Culture. We are told that Sir Seretse Kgama, the same man who went against culture and defied his think tank, the Royal Council headed by Tshekedi Kgama as he departed from tradition and married a beautiful British lady said something about a Nation without a culture being something he later turned out to be, a tree without roots. His fathers throne has been occupied by uncles from since the moment Seretse failed to grace it. This is the same Seretse who apparently contributed immensely to the stripping of powers of the Dikgosi. The landboard now controls the land zoning and allocation process. Courts have been established to fumble on such matters as stock theft cases that serve as a classic example the of dethroning of the Dikgosi drive. And now this other jack first of all continues proclaiming, like when he apologized to a commoner, Dums at Sir Gs enactment in the Botswana Hall of fame that he was some kind of Chief, yet a serving Politician, something unconstitutional, and then gets away with it. If the Kgamas love culture so much, they should not only dance about it, they should live it. If Ian is a Chief, where is the heir to the throne as demanded by culture? Why should the Bangwato ululate and continue voting for the continued destruction of their culture? How on earth this jack mastered enough courage to fly around with Tsitsi and present her as a neglected ex wife of Kgosi Tawana infront of the tribe as a political de-campaign ploy is not that representative of his so called love for culture. Hee wee tautona o rata ngwao. kae reye teng. It might be that the grabbing of the caves belonging to the Batawana for tourism purposes by Ian was based on his being their elder brother according to their shared ancestry. My take on the Tsitsi fracas is that the same disrespect is based solely on the mans favorite past time, bullying. Ka Setswana you do not invite yourself to issues of your younger brothers family and go around exposing their troubles in public. I wouldnt rule out Nikuv as a source of these poor tactics as Sis Pam suggested a while back. That then is the reason why chieftainship and adherence to the Constitution are separated according to the laws of Botswana. A grey area breeds a dictator who apparently is merely riding on what the British sought to achieve when they married the wealth of the Ngwato Kingdom with Botswanas newly found State power in 1966. Why the Government of Botswana still continues to pay the Kgama family rent for the land where the State House is built is testimony to this illegal marriage. With such a ballooned sense of entitlement, the line between Botswana being a feudal state and Constituional republic gets way too thin. Kgama therefore is growing instead of wilting in his dictatorial tendencies. The man needs to be called to order, but then who would risk being declared a target as easy as that? It is therefore only the People that should and will call the man to order. We should recall that it was Bangwato women who rioted in 1952 against British colonial rulers. The same Bangwato knocked down Kgamas succession dominos when they said it loud and clear that they didnt want to have anything to do with his dictatorial self entrenching and preservation plans through Ndelu. Other Batswana elsewhere should do their part by voting out the BDP. The man has just gone too far, Jack of all trades, a law breaker, a daylight witch and bachelor who prides himself in raising other mens children while he fails to have his own. Batawana should therefore vote wisely, for their land, culture and obviously freedom are in danger. Bangwato should look closely at the implications of the exploitation of their legacy by a single family. When revolutions take place, tribes get pitted against each other, and if we are to read into what one accomplice of President in waiting Boko Duma said when attempts were being made on his life, that he would have the whole of Serowe turned inside out, it should be impressed upon Bangwato that they should take the bull by its horns. We the people make a clear distinction between certain people and a tribe. Hit the road Jack.
