KIDANDALA TO TAKE OVER MAYORSHIP, WILL HE FIND POSSIBILITY WHERE LUKWAGO FOUND IMPOSSIBLE? They say: Love but never trust anyone. Before, this assertion has been useless to me but it may soon be of great value to me. Kidandala to take over mayorship? Would there be any other kind of betrayal than this? This is only similar to those shop keepers and taxi drivers, who refuse to participate in civil distress but when those strikes yield something, they are the first beneficiaries. Actually Kidandala was one if not the biggest reason that marked Lukwagos fallout with his councillors. When he appointed him as his deputy, majority of the councillors were against him, especially those who had been having hope in the position. These, the likes of Luyiga started forming smaller factions until wen the gap widened to the extent of Lukwagos censure. But is partial takeover of Lukwagos seat worthy Kidandalas friendship with Lukwago? I think this should be the question Kidandala should be asking himself. Well, I may not agree with Lukwagos way of doing things but there are significant changes that he has brought abt in KCCA. The biggest of all being the the filling of the KCCA to full capacity. Had it not been him going to court, the other councillors representing different bodies wdnt be in place. Some argue that why should Lukwago be against Kidandalas taking over office in the formers absentia, yet this is one of his duties. There is no wrong with Kidandalas take over mayorship, but under wat circumstances? There are hundreds of irregularities in KCCA as exposed in its recent tribunal. And they all agreed there were several irregularities. But these hvent been worked on and the sole person following up on these is Lukwago and the matter is still in court. Dont you think if he opted to sign documents, take tea in his office and hold chat sessions with councillor; he would still be in office n earning his salary? But why did he opt out? The reasons are well known to u as u articulated them in the tribunal. But wat the panic for.....that is if u hv interest in the position? Why not fight together, and hopefully if everything is a proper way, u can come in n contest in an authority where everything is streamlined? Dont you think you are a taxi driver who is driving his taxi who is driving a taxi while others are on a sit down strike over high fuel prices, but if the prices are reduced as a result of tge strike, youll be the first person to the petrol station? Though i think before you take over, you should first chat with the likes of Luyiga and Kanduho so they can tell you wat went wrong with the promises to them. Otherwise there is a high likelihood ull end up like them: apologising to Lukwago. I think you are rushing! Otherwise, to me Lukwago will remain a person who fought for rightism/constitutionalism of KCCA works. The biggest question is: How long will you sign those documents (budget) and talk at KCCA functions before falling out (which is very likely to happen)?
