KIELDER TRAILS INFORMATION UPDATE 21st December The Forest Drive will be CLOSED for the winter period from tomorrow and will re-open on 1st May 2015. Mountain bike trails (MTB) The LONESOME PINE MTB trail is currently CLOSED due to weather damage and the BLOODYBUSH MTB trail is set to be OPEN again by Christmas Eve. The scenic Osprey and Osprey Chick trail and the Lakeside Way are all OPEN. The DEADWATER Red trail now contains newly configured sections of sweeping single-track. Contractors have now finished on the Rattlesnake section of the Deadwater Black MTB trail and fantastic new berms have been built in to the existing trail. Walking trails Deadwater, The Gruffalo, Lewisburn and the Dukes walking trail are OPEN, however, the longer Dukes trail section (after the car-park) is DIVERTED due to weather damage. The Duchess Trail is CLOSED but is due to re-open in January. Please check forestry.gov.uk/kielderforestpark before your visit. Please take care in the forest during high winds or snow.
