KILL LIST NO KIDS A volunteer writes: I can not say that I know Spartacus well, a large male who came to us as a stray. He was quite vocal in his kennel when he first arrived at the care center. I kept talking to him, feeding him treats that he took eagerly from my hand. I caressed his face through the bars of his door and he seemed to like it, licking my hand quite gently. I took Spartacus out at some point for a walk to the yard. He is a very strong dog although all his bones are showing under his skin. Spartacus is gorgeous, though. His coat is beautiful and intact, his eyes are clear and look right into mine. They do not express fear or anger anymore. He knows he has a friend in me. I fed him and let him chill in a large pen. Spartacus could be a little bit with us and see other dogs and get plenty of treats. As he was too strong for me, a tall staff member took him back to his den. I pay a daily visit to Spartacus and always have my most special treats for him. I feel for this big and strong dog who might not have been a beloved pet. Spartacus is available via a New Hope Partner, please contact one if you believe you can help him. #NOKILLNYC RT
