Our weekly village newsletter reported yesterday that our local officials are peddling a solution of BOW HUNTING DEER (yes, IN THE VILLAGE) to eradicate the overpopulation and exploring how to get rid of the vultures (not talking about developers - these are actual vultures). Its been an extraordinarily wet season ripe for deer reproduction and developers are encroaching on their natural habitat. Response: lets hunt them down and kill em ! The deer, that is. According to the article, these extermination programs are intended to DRASTICALLY reduce the population of deer in an area in a short amount of time (usually one season) ...
