***KISSING BANDIT!!!!*** A volunteer writes: As I was putting Frex back into his kennel, a staff exclaims: such a sweet dog… Frex is indeed a friendly character who wags enthusiastically his tail inside his den when he sees a potential caretaker. He is cool when other dogs stick their nose at his door. He is leashed easily and does not give me trouble putting him back. What a dog! Frex counts a Boxer in his family tree, there is no mistake about this. His muzzle and the shape of his body beautifully wrapped in a tiger brindle coat give part of his ancestry away. Frex walks very nicely on the leash, tail softly arched. He marks his new territory but meets other pooches in a civil way. Free in a pen, he seems a little tense, like a lost dog…. His face is a bit wary. He comes to my chest for comfort. Frex settles down eventually and although he does not want my treats, comes on my lap and kisses me, accepting caresses. Frex , a young male , was found as a stray and brought to the Manhattan Care Center by a good samaritan who was able to say a few words about him: friendly with all, a little excited, playful and loves to be petted…Frex is a gorgeous youngster, sociable and affectionate who might need some basic training to make him yours but will make a great playmate and forever companion, given a chance.
