SHES FUN! ** Loves kids, knows commands, SPAYED, comes with own toy! ** A volunteer writes: I first met Kiwi back in June and fell in love with her gentle, soft, and unsure ways. She was adopted then, and just returned to our care as her new family had a baby. Were told that shes house-trained, crate trained, knows sit, stay, down and high five, doesnt mind getting a bath or having her nails trimmed, is playful, affectionate and friendly, goes to the dog park to play off leash, and is accustomed to going for a run/jog on a regular basis. Shes playful with children, although needs to be taught not to jump for hugs, and is afraid for a few minutes when people come to the house, going into her crate, and then coming out with a friendly manner. Kiwi has opened up quite a bit from the shy, scared girl she was back in June, but still sits in the back of her kennel when new people approach. She came forward to be leashed with no problem, and we walked to the park. She did some zoomies on leash right on First Avenue, and then some more off leash in the yard. She showed off her sit, takes her reward treats gently, and comes when I call her. She does love to run, chasing a tennis ball with glee, pouncing on it and then joining me on the bench for some huggies. Kiwi has a pink toy in her kennel that is her favorite toy and a big note on her kennel that it is hers, she came in with it, and not to remove it. How sweet is it that she has a favorite toy? Well be sure to send it home with you when you adopt her, and hopefully she will get many more favorite toys.
