KK,FAZ REMEMBER GABON VICTIMS. Founding President Kenneth Kaunda yesterday lay wreathes at the Gabon Disaster memorial site in Lusaka. On hand to receive KK as most soccer fans call him,was football Association of Zambia (FAZ) vice president Boniface Mwamelo and other government officials from the ministry of sports. Dr Kaunda was accompanied by Labour Minister, Fackson Shamenda and Sports Deputy Minister, Christopher Mulenga. KKs motorcade also attracted several Lusaka residents who rushed to the site to have a glimpse of the founding father of the nation. The resident surprised KK by singing happy birthday to you song and asking how old are you? to which KK responded: I am only 90. Dr Kaunda also sang his famous Tiyende Pamodzi song, much to the delight of the thousands that had made their way to independence stadium.
