@KKMPutrajaya @AliHamsa55 @FaridaMohdAli - Mesyuarat Khas Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan is a periodic meeting with all State Health Directors and Heads Divisions representing the various programmes under the technical arms of the Ministry namely the medical services, primary care & public health, research, dental services, pharmacy and food quality & safety. I took the opportunity in our meeting this morning to acknowledge some of the Ministry of Healths officers who have been appointed to various designations at international arena. Datuk Dr. Lokman Hakim Sulaiman, the Deputy Director General of Health (Public Health) has been appointed a member of Steering Committee in Islamic Health Ministers Meeting for Health Development Action Plan, OIC and also member of Malaria Policy Advisory Committee WHO, Geneva representing the western pacific region. Dr Fadzilah Kamaludin (public health) is also currently the “Chairman of the Advisory Board of TEPHINET (Training in Public Health and Public Health Interventions Network) an affiliation with US CDC based in Atlanta. Dr Shaari Ngadiman (disease control) has been appointed member of “Asia-Pacific High Level Panel on Funding Landscape” under the World Bank and UNAIDS. Dr Norhayati Rosli (disease surveillance) was appointed as “WHO-WPRO Short Term Consultant on Point of Entry Capacity Development for International Health Regulation di China”. I hope more our officers can take a more active role at international level.
