Substitutes--- Dating myself, but substitutes in school has always been an issue. I realize it happens, people get sick. However with the recent PUSH for good attendance, truancy, and detention if you are late more than 5 times, I think we need to call teaching staff to task as well. Tomorrow one of only two writing class days, Ks special educator will be out at a training. Like I said it happens. Im thankful I was told in advance because we get up early and take her there for a reason. Having a substitute who doesnt know her , and the change for a child that needs consistency, is not worth it for us/ her/ me. Today -- the music teacher was out and they watched a movie. She was extra tired this morning with allergies. Come on, you dont want to miss Music class. Ahh, if I had known. So tomorrow we will probably not go. Writing teacher is out, but I hope to confirm or not if the music teacher will be in. I will admit, the 2 hours to get work done or just think is nice. It lets me breathe and gives me a bit of help. The music was August Rush. The content of that movie for Kiera wasnt the best choice. Two unmarried people get pregnant, then put it up for adoption, while the boy is musically savant . I just watched the trailer. Why not a movie about how to play a Ukulele since thats the instrument theyve been learning... youtube/watch?v=-5ab6RtA-KE
