KMEA District Concert Assessment Itinerary: Dear Band Family, First of all, thanks to all for an amazing Area Concert last night! It was a great performance showcasing the hard work of many of our ensembles and really inspired younger students, families, and our audience! See post at henryclayband.org for the itinerary for next weekend’s District Concert Band Assessment. This is the culminating concert event of the year for our bands. We will be evaluated by 3 judges on stage and by 1 judge in sight reading after our performances. We will receive ratings from all judges and an overall rating. This should be a time to truly enjoy performance and display the wonderful culture and work ethic of our program! We will get valuable feedback from the judge comments on how to improve our process. This is a GREAT learning/performance experience and opportunity for our program! The CONCERT BAND will perform in Scott Co. on Friday 4/25 at 7:00 PM while the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will both perform on Saturday 4/26 in Scott Co. Attire for all concerts is professional concert black- full tuxedos, black dresses, black shoes/socks, bowties, etc. It is important that times are strictly observed and that students handle themselves professionally and responsibly and are prepared. Parents and families, please fill the auditorium at Scott Co. HS for these concerts. (See post at henryclayband.org for directions.) The bands will perform additional pieces from the concert last evening and have been working all semester to perform at the highest levels.
