KNOW YOUR KRYPTONITE I have always been a fan of superheroes since I was a child. Back in the days when our local stations (NTA Channels 10 &5) showed these cartoons. I loved watching Voltron - Defender of the universe, Super Ted/spotty man, G-force, Bird Man, Captain Planet, Danger Mouse, Turtle Ninjas, Hulk, Lantern, Wonder Woman, Bat Man, Four, Spider Man, X-Men, The Avengers, Iron Man, and off course, Superman. However, the list goes on and on... The childrens belt which started by 4pm every evening was always an exciting time, as I made sure all my chores were completed to avoid any distractions while I was watching my Superheroes with a red colored black and white television. My favorite superhero was Superman- the man of steel as we call him. Superman as the name connotes, Super speed (speed faster than a speeding bullet), super breath, heat vision, x- ray vision, super strength-strength of a thousand men, able to lift buildings, airplanes, ships, etc. In fact he was indeed a marvel and I secretly wish I possessed his powers. As I studied these Superheroes, I discovered that they all had one weakness/limitations or the other. Supermans weakness is kryptonite, a green rock from his former planet that saps his powers each time he comes in close to it.... And like superman, with all our glamour, grace, power, strengths, abilities, wisdom, gifting, talents, beauty, etc, we all have our personal Kryptonite that saps our vitality and reduces us to mere men. Ignoble habits/characters that repels good things from coming our way. Examine those traits, habits or characters that you need to work on that could elude you of good things. Some of these includes; Anger, greed, envy, laziness, lies, pride, unforgiveness, lethargic, just to mention a few. Mine may be anger, yours maybe pride, as little as they seem can destroy a man. Let’s make conscious effort to work on them, and it will amaze us what powers we wield. We are the Superheroes of our generation, dont let these vices stop you. Rather conquer them with your God given virtues. Youre created to be unstoppable… You are a Superman/Woman. #CAMILUS
