KOGI STATE UNIVERSITY, ANYIGBA PMB 1008, ANYIGBA, KOGI STATE – NIGERIA (OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR) e-mail: ksuanyigba@yahoo 2013/2014 DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING HOLDS 27TH & 28TH SEPTEMBER, 2013 This is to inform all DIRECT ENTRY Candidates who applied for admission into Kogi State University (KSU), Anyigba , for the 2013/2014 Academic Session, and who made the Institution their FIRST CHOICE (MOST PREFERED INSTITUTION ONLY) that they would be screened through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) on Friday and Saturday 27th and 28th September, 2013 respectively. Candidates who made the University their SECOND CHOICE NEED NOT REGISTER for the Screening Exercise. Candidates, parents, guardians, and the general public are to note that ability to read and click or move the mouse on the Computer are the only requirements for the test. A. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SCREENING Only Candidates who completed the Joint Admissions & Matriculation Board (JAMB) DIRECT ENTRY FORMS and who have the following qualifications are eligible to participate in the Screening Exercise: (i) candidates with requisite minimum of five (5) O’level credit passes, including English Language (and Mathematics for programmes in the Faculties of Natural Sciences, Management Sciences, Agriculture, and some programmes in the Faculties of Social Sciences and Education) at not more than two sittings. (ii) Candidates with ‘A’ Level General Certificate in Education (GCE) in at least two (2) subjects relevant to the candidate’s course of study. (iii) Candidates with National Certificate in Education (NCE) with NOT LESS THAN 10 POINTS in subject areas relevant to the Candidate’s course of study. (iv) Candidates with Diploma OR Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Certificates with a minimum of Upper Credit in subject areas relevant to the Candidate’s course of study. (v) Candidates with Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificates with a minimum of Lower Credit in subject areas relevant to the candidate’s course of study. (vi) Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria (‘A’ Level), with not less than ‘C’ grade in at least two subject areas relevant to the Candidate’s course of study. (vi) Any other Advanced Level qualification recognized for Admission into Nigerian Universities. B. REGISTRATION FOR SCREENING Registration for the Screening Exercise will commence from Monday 9th September and close Wednesday, 25th September, 2013 at midnight. Details of the registration procedure are as follows: (i) Candidates are to pay into Kogi State University Post-UTME Account NO. 1130036448 Bank Name: Any Branch of Zenith Bank Plc through the X-PATH platform Amount: N2,300 (two thousand three hundred Naira only (i.e. one thousand one hundred Naira for Registration/Screening and one thousand Naira for result checking/bank charges of N200 (two hundred Naira only). (ii) Candidates are to obtain a PIN (Personal Identification Number) from the bank after the payment of N2,300 (two thousand three hundred Naira only). (iii) Candidates should visit any cyber café to register on-line on the institution’s portal:wwwksuportal.edu.ng and follow the instructions accordingly. (iv) Candidates will be required to upload scanned copies of their passport photographs (file size not more than 20KB) with RED Background. (v) Candidates are to print out their respective schedule Slip or Registration Slip containing Date and Time Schedule for the test. The print out of the Schedule Slip or Registration Slip be brought to the Screening Venue for submission to Screening Officers. (vi) Candidates MUST arrive at the Faculty of Natural Sciences Lecture Theatre One (L.T.I) ONE HOUR (1 HR) before their Scheduled Screening time to ensure proper briefing and accreditation. (vii) Candidates are to adhere strictly to their schedules.
