KOKOMO-CON 2014 COSTUME CONTEST UPDATE This year marks the 5th year of the KOKOMO-CON and of our costume contest. The costume contest has grown from a handful of fans to standing room only, to standing room only and people in a hall trying to peek in. This year the KOKOMO-CON has moved the costume contest out of PANEL ROOM A, and has taken over a portion of the convention center rarely used. You will find maps leading you directly to the new costume area on site at the KOKOMO-CON 2014. THE STAGE The stage will be approximately two feet off the ground, 24 feet long, and 12 feet wide. ENTRANCE FEE It is $10.00 to attend the KOKOMO-CON 2014. There is an additional charge of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) to enter the costume contest. This $1.00 fee is paid directly to a scholarship fund that has been created by COMICS CUBED and the KOKOMO-CON called the EXCELSIOR SCHOLARSHIP. The kids who are in the running for the EXECLSIOR SCHOLARSHIP will be on hand collecting the $1.00 entrance fee, helping the stage crew manager (Derek Irick) in any way he needs to make this our best costume contest yet, and meeting contestants while learning about cosplay and the importance it plays in fandom. Composition: Did you make your own costume (Sew it, sculpt it, paint it, build it) or did you buy it? Presentation: Entertain the judges. You will find a more detailed list of rules on the KOKOMO-CON 2014 website. kokomocon/#!costume-rules/c1mim Any amendments to these rules will be posted the day of the show, and explained by the costume contest staff as you sign in at the KOKOMO-CON 2014.
