KREMLIN NEW YEAR TREE FOR CHILDREN OF NOVOROSSIA Among carefree uproar and childrens fun a group of children from the Donbass looked unusual. About fifty children we brought from the Donbass at the Kremlin New Year Tree festival in Moscow. All the children have difficult fates. All of them went through a war. Parents of all of them were killed, or they lost one of their parents. There are a lot of this children in the Donbass - one thousand or a few thousand, no one knows for sure ... But the fate of every child deserves attention and separate stories ... Eugene will never be 40. A young, energetic man one of the first left into the militia - to protect his home, his family, his land. He was not a soldier, before the war, he worked as a crane driver. But it has always been fundamental for him: not to stand injustice and to say what he thinks. And he did what should do, in his opinion, a real man. When the war came, he left to defend Slavyansk. His first award, iron cross, he received for courage in battle. That day there were was only 15 men when the offensive troops of Ukrainian National Guard went into. Eugene in this battle personally shot down six enemy tanks. The award was handed to him on 21 July. On 24 July, he died, got into the environment ... - He is my nearest and dearest, - says about her husband Nelia. - He promised after the first award that will not stop and get four of the crosses. But ... The voice of a young woman breaks down, it is not easy to say even these simple phrases. Carefully she is opening the precious box and shows the cross with dried blood. He was buried in Yenakiyevo, for which he fought. For which the dead. - Zhenya and I had something that is difficult to explain in words, - says Nelly. - I knew him from childhood, we understood each other perfectly. Recently I saw a dream in the morning, he said that he got a ticket for me and daughter on New Year tree in Moscow. And so it happens as if in reality! My friend the day before heard that the children of militia are going to the New Year festival in Moscow. But they take kids from 10 to 18 years, so my 5-year-old Lisa can not go. I did not recognize, but when I saw Eugene in a dream, I thought I should call. So we visited Moscow, the Kremlin. Resolute, bold, big and strong - that will remember daddy little Lisa. She is almost big, she is soon five. She knows that in the Kremlin on the festival, except for Father Frost, there are lots of good people with whom she is now sure to be friends. And Lisa really wanted to see Vladimir Putin. When a member of parliament of Novorossia Alla Muravkova asked if she wants to see Father Frost, the girl replied: - No, not him, Im going to Vladimir Putin. - That what she said, - says Alla Muravkova. - I have even caught my breath! She is so small, but knows who is Vladimir Vladimirovich, that he is in the Kremlin, and that the Kremlin tree - it is a gift for all kids. Among the children who came to the Kremlin, there are no simple lives. A girl Eugene. In the summer her house in the village Octyabrskaya came under massive bombardment of Ukrainian heavy artillery. The fire started. In that time there was grandmother, who was unable to get out of the house alone ... For nearly six months the Zhenyas family lives in one of the hostels in Donetsk. They have neither home, nor savings. A boy Peter. In May his dad volunteered for the front of Khartsyzsk. He called son every day, talking about what he had seen, that it is necessary to come back and bring with him the trophy - a real army helmet. In late July, the calls stopped. Peters father was missing, and the boy stayed with his mother. There is no information so far, but the family hopes that their father is still alive, and sooner or later they will see him. Other girl Lisa - from Mariupol. But after the events of May, her family was forced to leave hometown because of the threat to life. They settled with relatives in the Kuibyshev region of Donetsk, somehow began to build a modest life. Lisa started to go to school. It was until November, then in their apartment in a building hit Ukrainian missile. Lisas parents were killed and relatives forced to move to the hostel on the other side of town. Or heres Tanya. Before the war, she lived with her mother only in Ilovaiskaya. When destroyer battalions began mass checks of citizens in the city for involvement in the DNR, many men were detained on the street. Tanyas mom, who actively helped the militia with food and water, disappeared two weeks later, and still there are no witness of any incident. This spifflicated by war children were brought to the New Year tree in the Kremlin by our deputies. Although the road was difficult, Vitaly Zolotnyuk believes that it is a great gift for children of Novorossia. - We went with great difficulty, a distant road was not easy, the children were some pale little. Busload of children, mostly orphans and half-orphans ... The faces as if etched all the difficulties that they have fallen for these months - says Vitali. - But back home, despite the fatigue, the children came completely different - their eyes are bright, they have a lot of impressions. In the Kremlin Palace all of Novorossia children were awarded nominal gifts, though it was not provided by the program. ... And now two Liz, Zhenya and Peter, Tanya and other children who were lucky to go on a festival in the Kremlin, have a hope that in their city peace will come. - Moscow - its so light, so alive. So we hope that in Makeyevka, Yenakiyevo, Mariupol, Donetsk, there was a peaceful life - says Lisas mother, - now I know, though the war there much more good people in this world. P.S.
