KWARA NUJ MOURNS DEAD COLLEAGUE The Kwara state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) has commensurate with the National secretariat of the union and the families of three members of the association who lost their lives at weekend in a ghastly motor accident The state chairman of the union,Mal.Abiodun Abdulkareem in a condolence letter signed on behave of all members of the union in the state described the untimely death as unfortunate and a great loss to the union and the nation as a whole Abdulkareem said the contributions of the victims could not be over emphasised,praying God to grant the deceased eternal rest "Their death would definitely create vacuum in the journalism profession and in the union entirely .I pray to God again to give their families,the NUJ and their love ones the fortitude to bear the great loss" The three deceased include Adolphous Okonko,a former National financial secretary;Kafayat Odunsi,a journalist at the NTA,Lagos;and Tunde Ojenike,chairman of Radio Nigeria and Ibadan Network centre of the NUJ Late Okonkwo,Odunsi and Ojenike died at the weekend in a road crash in Ilesa,Osun state while returning from an official journey in Abuja 10 other members who sustained injuries are currently receiving treatment at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital,Osogbo
