KWARANS MAKING ONLINE BUBBLE Oba Ahmed Olanrewaju is an admirable fellow, peaceful in nature and calm in character. He belongs to the realism school of thought. Realism is the practice of accepting a situation as it is, and being prepared to deal with it accordingly. Realism is also a behavior or thought based on a conception of things as they are, regardless of how one wants them to be, with a tendency to be practical and pragmatic. Such kind of believe which Oba posses is contrary to Idealism, which is a behavior or thought based on a conception of things as they should be, or as one would wish them to be, with a tendency to be imaginary or visionary. So, basically with idealism, youre wishing and imagine something as being better than it really is, while with realism, you just accept whatever it is and move on. Idealism is when you envision or see things in an ideal or perfect manner. Realism, on the other hand, tends toward a more pragmatic and actual view of a situation. Idealism focuses on what could be, and realism focusing on what actually is. Realism is doing what is deemed possible, but idealism achieves the Impossible,therefore changing what was impossible to possible. In essence, a realist which Oba is can be described as someone who care less about vision and change, he prefer what is known but fear the unknown. To him, if this is the situation we are in today weather good or bad, that situation must be supported and protected at all cost to prevent a change, there is no point dreaming of any change or visualizing a different approach tomorrow, rather, we should be planning of not changing the present situation, but think of how to make adequate gains from it. From an ordinary perspective, such a believe may not be necessarily harmful if the situation is good, but when it is obviously bad and counter productive to the general interest, people like Oba are not open to change, they will still insist on preserving the status quo. They detest change, but love loyalty, good or bad. Although, It is very rare to find someone who is a complete and absolute realist. In all humans, there exists an element of idealism and realism, but in realist like Oba, every idea which could amount to change are suppressed within them, they rather concentrate on ideas to preserve the status quo and devise ways to benefit from it. As a result of this believe, Oba chose the status quo in Kwara politics, that status quo is Abubakar Bukola Saraki. Through his activities on the social media, Oba had and still promoting ABS whom he described as his world leader. To him as far as Kwara State is concerned, it is ABS or nothing. If it is ABS, it is good, if it is not, it is bad. If you associate with ABS, you are good to be supported, if you do not, you are not worthy of his support. Oba is always online, morning, afternoon, evening and even at the middle of the night, I sometimes wonder when he has time to relax with hs family, (just joking). All he does online is pursue his believe, promoting ABS and all those associated with him. He his classical example of a loyal supporter. Oba is such an intelligent man, he pick his words carefully and he has a way of communicating his thoughts without bitterness whatsoever. He his sound,calm,peaceful,wise and Godly. I say this without fear of contradiction, these are qualities most youths should imbibe. Oba disagrees without abuse, he condemn without insult and fault criticism of his leader without attack. He his a good communicator. Although, he often ridicule important issues with mockery, he present false and imaginary achievement of his leader to persuade, sentimental in terms of being economical with truth, sometimes being fallacious to make defense, but in all, he does it without any bitterness. I can liken Oba to Reuben Abati, the spokes man of president Jonathan, but Oba’s quality supersedes that of Abati in the sense that, while Abati sometimes lie and attack opponents, Oba lie but never attack opponent, he lie with smiles in his face to comfort his opponent from the hurt of his lies. Abati disagrees and abuse opponent, Oba disagrees but never abuse opponent, Abati condemn and insult opponents, but Oba only condemn without insulting his opponent. Those are his qualities. If Oba didn’t come online one day, ABS would suffer without difference, as many supporters of ABS are not good writers that could conveniently write at will, they are occasional writers,but writing for Oba is a hubby and he does it effortlessly. Many who now come online in defense of ABS got their inspiration from Oba. However, it is not clear if Oba works directly with ABS, but certainly, he works indirectly with the son of the late kwara strong man. It is also not clear if he his paid to do the job, but I am sure he has gained a lot and would still do so now or in the future. I am of the opinion that, If Oba doesn’t work directly with ABS, I think ABS must be blind, as none of his current media aides could match the kind of image making Oba is giving him on the social media. As a matter of urgency, I advice ABS to appoint Oba into his inner circle. He his an asset rarely gained. My advice to Oba is that, don’t be sentimental by making false judgement on issues that affect other peoples life where they can make judgement for themselves, be objective and sensitive. When people place importance on issues, don’t ridicule the issue by turning it a subject of mockery where your co-debater get an impression that you are not a serious minded person worthy of being engaged in serious issues. Your future to me, matters than that of your leader, you should protect it. Don’t destroy your personal integrity because you are trying to defend another man, we are all born free and equal in rights and dignity. Mr.Rights
