KZN BASKETBALL EXECUTIVE MEETING 4th - 6th OCTOBER 2013 KZN - TopicsExpress

KZN BASKETBALL EXECUTIVE MEETING 4th - 6th OCTOBER 2013 KZN Basketball Association will be holding a provincial executive members meeting to discuss the strategic approaches to developing basketball in our province. The aim of the meeting is to finalise the strategic points as executive committee. These strategic points will then be workshopped on the facebook page for comments and for people seeking clarity. The strategic points will thus be adopted after this process as the strategic approach and thus all the strategic planning will be based on the adopted strategic points. This will give us strategic direction in the province. It is only then that the full KZN Basketball council will be invited to look at the proposed strategy for KZN Basketball. It should be noted that in the meantime.: 1. KZN Basketball Association will be arranging meeting with all the necessary basketball stakeholders for an integrated planning, development and implementation of basketball strategy. 2. The meeting will also be finalising credentials for all individuals that will represent KZN Basketball in all the meetings and engagements of BSA. The first BSA meeting being on the 12 of October 2013 as per attachment on this fb page on 20 September 2013 2. Basketball South Africa is currently looking for proposals in developing a "10 year growth plan". In essence, as KZNBA the strategy we are developing for the province will have to adapt to the proposed plan and thus will be reviewed as when needed to adapt to the national plan. this is per the attachement here on 20 September 2013. 3. Basketball South Africa Interim Committee is also doing preparations for the AGM. The details of which were included in the subsequent circular from BSA and posted on 27th September 2013 on our facebook page. 4. We would like KZN Basketball community members to raise urgent issues that they feel need to be dealt with in the meantime - here on the fb page. The aim is to deal with these issues during the executive members meeting that we will be holding on the 5th and 6th of October 2013. We will then publish feedback on those issues. Your contribution in rebuilding basketball will be appreciated and all positive contributions will be taken into account. regards Thabani Dube Chairperson basketball Kwazulu-Natal Basketbal Association
