Kaduna NSCDC Collaborates With Air Force, Customs Against Pipeline Vandals The Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDS) on Sunday said it was collaborating with the Nigerian Air Force on aerial surveillance of pipelines vandals. The spokesman of the command, Michael Oguntuase, told newsmen in Kaduna that it also collaborated with the Nigeria Customs Service for easy tracing of pipelines vandals. Oguntuase, however, added that the command needed more communication gadgets and vehicles to enable it to tackle insecurity and damage to pipelines by vandals in the state. He called for the cooperation of the public, saying that everything about security begins and ends with adequate information management. Oguntuase said the NSCDC operated a 24-hour surveillance and critical routine checks in the state. ``Our men are stationed in all the telecommunication facilities and maintain a 24-hour surveillance to check vandals,’’ he said. He said that due to the issues of insecurity, the command had deployed more of its officers on stop-and-check duties in the state capital. The spokesman added that the NSCDC had also stationed its officers in the 23 local governments in the state. He said that in case of traffic emergency, NSCDC assisted the road safety corps in traffic control and also assisted fire fighters to rescue fire people from fire incidents. Oguntuase urged the people to always assist the security agencies with information about vandals and criminals in the state.
