Kailua Beach Park management, whats the deal? I contacted your operations directly where you assured me youve been sweeping the bike path this whole time. When that didnt improve results I contacted the complaint line and they assured me that the bike path would be swept once a week. Here it is today, filled with needles, pine cones, large tree nuts. So whats the problem KBP? If its funding or staff shortages that might be one thing, but to be honest it takes me and my pushbroom about an hour to do the entire bike path, its not that hard. Especially if you keep on it and do it weekly. If you think the bike path is bad, check out the parking lot, its mulch! Remember the other volunteer group that came in and cleaned the restrooms and removed graffiti? Why are volunteers doing for free what staff gets paid to do and should do? UNACCEPTABLE!
