Kairos Mechanical Smart Watch Pre-Order Customers: Customers who have supported from the beginning - as early as May 15th, will always have a special place in our hearts. In fact, we even asked if we can publish your names with the order rank (customer # ___ ) on our website in the survey. This is because without you, Kairos would have never gotten this far! However, with the launch of the T-band there seems to be some misunderstandings that we would like to set straight. Focus: Some customers have complained that we have lost focus in our development and that we spent too much time working on the T-band. This is a big misunderstanding from our perspective. The T-band reuses many components such as the PCB design (just the dimensions are different), Firmware, and the Mechanical Watch components. The MAIN reason why we made the T-band and also on WHY we are launching the campaign NOW instead of after we have shipped out the hybrid watches is ...really because we wanted to provide this option to our hybrid watch pre-order customers. What if we launched the T-band afterwards? We might have even more complaints because people may have wanted the T-band more than the Hybrid. About 15% of our survey customers actually said that they would like to buy the watch only because they are worried about the transparency but they still like the design of the watch. This prompted us to launch the T-band earlier and do another pre-order round. We apologize for not being able to move faster than other established companies. But as a start-up we are doing our absolute best in trying to satisfy everyone while also trying to be on schedule of things. Funds: We are doing another pre-order on the T-band because we didnt want to divert any of the funds from the Hybrid Watch pre-order to develop the T-band. In fact, we even raised funding via VCs and angel investors already to support this - including the new promotional video. This is our effort in running an ethical company and not misuse any funding. What next? If you are one of our Hybrid Watch customers, you will have the option to change to order to the T-band combo (if you wish). Hybrid Watches are unique. Pros: Its unique, first creation, and limited edition. Its a true collectors editions. The TOLED is also a wow factor that T-band doesnt have. Its upgradable. T-band is replaceable. You can change the band to whatever band you want. Cons: Its large - almost 17mm x 46mm diameter. The transparency is 40% for dot matrix TOLED and 60% for ICON TOLED. Resolution is lower. T-band is new, but different: Pros: You can use any analog watch with it, including the MSW/SSW. It has three models - ND, HD, OD. Glass is 100% transparent since everything is on the band. Cons: Its rigid (needs getting used to). You cant use any type of band. If you still would like to keep the order for the Hybrid Watch, you dont have to do anything more. We already got your order and the survey so its all good. Your order will be the first priority. No T-band customer will get our watches before yours. If you would like to change over to T-band combo, you will be able to do so starting Dec. 5th in our survey system.
