Kampong economics - susah, jimat lah sikit. The weak fundamentals are rotting the nation - the lack of meritocracy, the corruption and mismanagement leakages, the lack of competency, accountability and transparency etc - these are areas in dire needs for serious and drastic measures and actions to be taken to stimulate and fire the imaginations and hopes of the people to get together to save the nation. Any attempts to pull the nation out of the rut now must involve the whole nation i.e. the People. Its not a simple Kampong Economics of jimat. We must look long term and we have to revamp and grow as a nation. Jimat alone will not help.
