Karan Johar passes the look test for Bombay Velvet!!! Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is gearing up to widen his horizons taking the task of acting and to play a villain in Anurag Kashyap’s ambitious project Bombay Velvet which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, has reportedly gone ahead to give a look test for the film. Well, it seem Karan doesn’t want to leave single stone unturned in his preparation, as earlier he went on to shed 10kgs weight and now he has undergone to the similar procedures of look test he used to implies while casting actors for his films. The ace director, currently seen as judge on Colors dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, revealed this on a micro blogging site. He wrote, “So the #BombayVelvet journey has begun!! Did a look test today....Anurag has a superb team!!!” Talking about the role of Karan, he is would be seen playing the role of a rich businessman who plays a crucial role in the life of Ranbir Kapoor’s character onscreen. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma for the first time together on screen, Bombay Velvet spans across three decades and will be shot in Sri Lanka. It is slated to release on 25th December, 2014.
