Don Miller officiating Interment Godsey Cemetery Born July 01, 1955 Died June 15, 2013 Karen Gail Holdway Sturgill, age 57, of Bristol, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Karen was born July 1, 1955 in Bristol, Virginia, a daughter of the late George and Edna Hensley Holdway. She was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area where she had worked as a nurse for thirty-five years in local hospitals, nursing homes and private residences. Karen was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Holdway, and a sister, Norma Spurlock. Survivors include: Her brother: George C. Holdway, Jr. & wife Jennifer Aunts: Linda McNutt & husband Bobby and Dotty Crawford Uncle: Charles Bruce Hensley Brother-in-Law: Gary Spurlock Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins Beloved Companion: Molly The funeral service for Karen Sturgill will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Don Miller officiating. The committal service and interment will follow, in Godsey Cemetery, Hiltons, VA. The family will receive friends from 6PM to 8PM Tuesday, at the funeral home.
