Karen, This is a typical meal for my 2 Dogs and 1 Demon Cat. Abita, aka Demon Cat, eats smelts, chicken necks, chicken hearts, livers, etc. She could probably do a chicken wing now that shes fully grown. Occasionally, Ill slice up some beef or pork chop and throw in there. For the Dogs...the base is chicken...so a thigh or leg. Or in the case of this AM, I had a ham steak that was to far gone for me to eat. So, they got it, bone and all. And I found left over potatoes and asparagus that was probably too far gone as well that I split between them. And an egg. Allie would break the shell, but The Bugs hasnt figured that out yet. So, I just crack it and drop the whole thing in. I try to give The Bugs a little more starch as she stays so damn lean. Esp this time of yr, Ill cook a bag of potatoes down and mix in a few spoonfuls here and there. Bugs has a tendency of inhaling small bones...so I ensure she doesnt get anything smaller than about half my fist in regards to bones...things like neck bones are a no go for her. Allie will take the time and chew them. And I store in the cheap plastic ware. I tried plastic bags but they leak as they thaw and thats a freakin mess. Healthy critters. And I *can* get away with feeding them for about $25-40 every 2 weeks. I often splurge though. lol. #RawFeeding
