Karma is an 11 week old puppy and was born without her right eye, but shes never missed it and is proving to be a very smart, quick-learning little girl. We had a scary setback several days after we took her in and she spent 2 days at the vet. We noticed that she was losing her spark, her appetite and then developed vomiting and diarrhea. She was becoming increasingly lethargic so we got her in at the first available appointment. She received IVs to rehydrate, an antibiotic and a bland diet to follow for a few days. After I picked her up she quickly returned to her sweet, sassy self! Shes learning some manners and wants to please. Shes such a good girl and will be an amazing companion to the right person/family. While we dont know exactly what caused Karmas illness, my vet and I both feel that the vet treatments she received, before LEARN picked her up, were enough to overwhelm her already compromised system (3 kinds of worms!) and kick her little butt! Maybe shes an exception with her reaction, but we were afraid of losing her! Im just happy that we realized that she was fading and that she recovered so quickly! Because Karma is so little the new family will have to sign a spay/neuter contract which consists of an agreement to have the spay done when she is old enough. There is an ADDITIONAL $150 DEPOSIT, once we receive verification from your vet that the procedure has been done, the $150 is refunded to you.
