Kashmir News:.... Hurriyat Conference(M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed his grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Advocate Mohammad Ashraf Lone who happened to be the general secretary of Muslim Conference. While condoling with the bereaved family, Mirwaiz said that contributions of Advocate Lone towards the freedom struggle of Kashmir was immense and would be always remembered for times to come.He said that Lone was a freedom lover who discharged the duties of legal cell in extremely difficult circumstances. He also condoled with the head of Muslim Conference Prof Abdul Gani Bhat and other colleagues of the deceased and prayed for the departed soul. Soon after the demise of Lone, Senior leaders, workers and activists went to Sopore to participate in his funeral prayers.The leaders who participated in the funeral prayers include Prof Bhat, Musadiq Adil, GN Zaki, AbdulRashid Untoo, and many others. Apart from discharging the duties of head of legal cell, Lone was also an active member of the hurriyat conference working committee. In 2007, he participated in foreign minister summit of OICin Baku Azerbaijan. Chairman Mirwaiz Umar farooq has offered his heartfelt condolences with journalist, Naseer A Ganai whose motherpassed away recently. Head of Medai Cell, Advocate Shahidul Islam led a delegation and visited the house of Ganai to condole with the family. Expressing solidarity with the family, he offered fath-e-Khwani for the departed soul. Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference has expressed concern over the mysterious deathof Adil Ahmad Ganai, of Larsen Ganderbal and demanded impartial probe to know the facts behind his gruesome death. He said it was the second mysterious death in a row in just two days where a Kashmiri was murdered outside in Indian state. He said it was the duty of government to ensure safety of Kashmiris living outside Jammu and Kashmir. ABI.
