Kashmir Pandits pray for peace in Kashmir Baramulla: Rakesh and his wife Minakshi Pandita, a young Kashmiri Pandit couple with two kids, was praying with folded hands for return of peace to trouble-torn Kashmir Valley. The couple had come to Shelpatri Mandir in Khanpora on Tuesday to celebrate Ramnavami. Their ancestors came from Baramulla district and now they too are living in a migrant colony at Weervan in outskirts of Baramulla. “We are very much elated to be part of this festivity for our forefathers would travel miles to perform (Havan) prayers here. It was really a moment of peace for to our souls we saw Muslims and Sikhs greeting us on this august occasion,” said Rakesh after performing Havan in the temple. “Baramulla has rich history of religious harmony and it was evident today. We love to live here and prayed for peace and tranquility to return in Kashmir valley which is abode of saints,” added Rakesh.
