Kashmiri student drowns during picnic in Dehradun Srinagar: A Kashmiri student who studies at a Dehradun college slipped into a river stream and got drowned on Sunday when he along with his friends visited a local picnic spot, police said.Police said that the boy Aijaz Ahmad Malla resident of Handwara had gone to a picnic spot Sahastradhara - famous for waterfalls - in Dehradun with his friends when the incident took place.“Efforts are on to save him”, police said adding that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Abdul Ghani Mir has personally talked to IGP Law and Order Uttrakhand and other officers to take all the steps to save the student.
