Kat w/ an UPDATE: Snowflakes are expected to begin mixing in after - TopicsExpress

Kat w/ an UPDATE: Snowflakes are expected to begin mixing in after the lunch hour- transitioning to snow later this afternoon/evening (though exact timing is a little tricky). As of now- the snowfall map is still looking accurate in terms of light accumulations overnight. Most of us will see a trace/dusting- those on the western slopes/mtns could still get 1-3 inches. Parts of western Greenbrier/Pocahontas (especially at Snowshoe) could receive from 3-5. That being said- though accums. are minor- we are still very concerned about travel-with these wet roads in danger of freezing over as lows drop overnight into the teens and single digits! WIND CHILLS will also be dangerously low- below zero (as gusts reach 30 to 40mph in some spots). As of now there are no watches, warnings or advisories for our viewing area- but this may change by the time Janna gets in this afternoon. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND BUNDLE UP, REGARDLESS.
