Kathleen Nash.... I was sitting here in the quiet, bending 10 gauge copper wire to hopefully make a funky, twisty bead encrusted bracelet. I got it all shaped into a two-inch wide strip the length I would need to go around my wrist (once bent into bracelet shape). There is where the difficulty with 10 gauge comes in. Its hard to shape with pliers. I dont have a bracelet mandrel. Looked all over the house for something strong enough to take the shaping and possible pounding to get it there. I was ready to throw the hunk of wire over my back fence.... Then, I see my train track anvil that Dennis inspired me to track down and finally get from a friend :) The rail is the exact size I needed for my wrist and the rough shape to get it there, sort of the oval shape of the wrist. Shape it over the top of the rail and slip it off the end when done. I am in love with my train track anvil all over again LOL! Will post a picture once I get the beads wired on.
