Kathryn woke up next to her partner after only a few hours sleep. He was still sleeping and somehow even with the lack of sleep Kathryn felt awake and fresh. She had gotten closure on a subject and now her mind was calm and at rest. She got out of the bed quietly and headed downstairs, her bare feet padding on the soft carpet as she walked down the stairs, pulling on her robe at the same time. At the bottom of the stairs were her slippers and she slipped her feet into them before heading into the kitchen and replicating herself a coffee and some toast and settling down in one of the dibing chairs with her thoughts.
