Kathua, 1 Feb: To lodge their strong protest against the construction of a Panchayat Ghar at Chambe-Da-Bagh (a part of Panchayat Narolian) and demanded its construction in the village Narolian, a massive deputation of villagers of the Panchayat Narolian called on Deputy Commissioner, Jatinder Singh in his office chamber at Kathua here today. The deputation was joined by numerous villagers under the leadership of prominent villagers Balbir Singh, Kanta Devi, Tarsem Lal, Kuldeep and Davinder Kumar. While apprising to deputy commissioner about the issue, the villagers Balbir Singh, Kanta Devi, Tarsem Lal and Kuldeep Raj demanded that the Panchayat Ghar should be constructed in the village Narolian which is the common and accessible site for all the villages of the Panchayat and urged him that the site in village Chambe-Da-Bagh which is selected for the construction of Panchayat Ghar is not a genuine spot and is not in the reach of villages because of its odd location. In this location there is no population and it is just a conspiracy to snatch the facility of our Panchayat Ghar. The Majority of the Panchayat is demanding the construction of Panchayat Ghar in village Narolian then why the administration is adamant to reject this public voice and confirmed its construction at an odd location which is not supported by the majority of the Panchayat People they added. They urged the DC Kathua to intervene into the matter personally to solve the issue and give the respect to the public voice and take action decision as per the majority of the Panchayat.
