Kathy’s Quest Kathy’s Quest By Robert R. Railey As elegant as the butterfly, who flits about the sky, is she; and as graceful too, as the monarch who, reigns supreme in time and space With lips as sweet as hummingbird’s beaks, like flowers from the gardens of the Gods With invested beauty, both inside and out, she goes throughout her day, aiding and abetting her fellow man with all of the wisdom and kindness that she endows What better way then, to serve our Lord, than to be the person he wishes, for when we come to our own final days wouldn’t we rather have them say that she took the time to stand there and listen, like a practicing philosopher may Though some might ask what’s her reward for being such a consoling figure? The answer is simple, it’s the best job in the world, by simply dressing their coiffures and nails For without such services we’d all be mighty plain; and then to whom would we tell our woes? For as we all know it takes true devotion to be such an expert psychologist Nevertheless, she knows full well that her main goal in life is just to do what God wishes Though when asked of her favorite story it came as a mild shock to me to find that she too likes to write, albeit our story lines sound differently So to me it seems that we might have something in common, but my care and patience seem wanting, for it takes exceptional people to tolerate the egos within us She makes a person feel mighty grand, alright, by just listening to our incessant ramblings Then this must mean that we’ll have to propose a new award for her, won’t we? And we’ll call it “A best person award for that’s truly what she is; for to win this award an individual must be mighty special in all human traits and skills By Robert R.
