Kawasaki H2R https://youtube/watch?v=GHBO5vSoMXo This is the track-only model, dubbed the H2R, the road legal H2 will be released in Milan in four weeks time. This slick-clad no headlight machine is a 998cc supercharged machine with a claimed output of 296hp (not a typo) - the new power war has just been declared. The street version is reportedly going to be tamed down to a mere 220hp or so and is likely to have less carbon fibre as well as having to adorn the essential legal items. Pricing is expected to be as radical as the design for the H2R but no figures yet for the H2. Billed as a motorcycle designed to demonstrate the abilities of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, it showcases the expertise of their different departments with the supercharger unit designed specifically for this machine, an entirely new trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, loads of carbon fibre and is sure to have an amazing electronics package that lets mere mortals manage the nearly 300 available horsepower, although its unclear where it will do so as no current track racing class allows such beasts - one-upping your mates at a track day maybe? Sounds like they took the H2 badge seriously then. What do you think?
