We are looking for a part time member of staff to join our team at the Milnthorpe Showroom: Position: Admin & Sales Assistant Contract: Part Time + occasional overtime Hours: 27 hours per week but must include every other Saturday 9am – 3pm (weekdays negotiable to suit) Wage/Salary: £7.50 per hour About Rees Tiles & Flooring Rees Tiles and Flooring is a family run business based just outside Milnthorpe on the A6. We have been trading for 15 years and serve the whole of the local area. We distribute all over Cumbria and the North West too so there is always plenty going on. Rees Tiles specialise in all aspects of wall and flooring solutions such as Tiles, Karndean, Engineered Wood and Laminate as well as products such as Underfloor Heating. We believe that we are a reliable company to work for with positive work ethics and a friendly atmosphere and we are looking to expand our team in our busy Milnthorpe Showroom. Job Description The Admin & Sales Assistant at Rees Tiles will be based in our busy Showroom in Milnthorpe where you will be required to be involved in all aspects of the business throughout the working week. The key areas of the position are Sales, Admin and assisting with Distribution Customers but there will be new areas to learn and get involved with over time. The position is very people focused and you will be in regular contact with members of public and tradespeople, both on the phone and face to face. You will be required to use a computer on a daily basis when completing tasks such as emailing, creating invoices and placing orders. Full training will be given to the successful candidate. Key responsibilities Below are the key responsibilities of the Admin & Sales Assistant position: Sales • Helping Retail Customers in the showroom • Dealing with trade customers • Taking orders from Distribution customers over the phone and communicating these to the correct members of the team • Ringing customers to advise on delivery dates and checking on orders • Maintaining a tidy showroom Admin • Inputting supplier invoices to the system • Processing monthly statements • Filing paperwork correctly • Chasing payments from Distribution and Trade customers • Emailing customers with updates About the Candidate We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about getting involved in a new opportunity. They need to motivated, be good at thinking ahead and be confident around people. Essential • Must be able to work every other Saturday • Good people skills • Self-motivated and a proactive thinker • Computer literate • Polite and personable • Comfortable using a telephone • A good understanding of basic mathematics Desirable • Be able to start work straight away • UK Driving Licence (only to get to work) • Knowledge of using Microsoft Excel • Understand Sage If you are interested or know anyone who is interested please get them to forward their CV to reestileslancaster@gmail
