Kayak New Mexico, Inc. 501c3 hosted a 3-day Adaptive Paddling instructor workshop in June, the first of its kind in New Mexico. The workshop was intended to teach pre-existing ACA certified kayak instructors how to adapt the equipment for those who have a physical disability. The class had a good mix of individuals with different disabilities, such as amputations, spinal cord injuries and brain injuries.
