Kazakhstan F.C. 9 The Colliery Tavern 8 Kaz had a good win tonight against a strong Tavern team in the final game of the season. Tavern twice took the lead early on but Kaz fought straight back to equalise and then pulled away to lead 4-2 at half time. Kaz went 5-2 up after the break, then 6-3 and then 7-4. It seemed comfortable but the final 5 minutes were very panicky and Tavern got it back to 7-6 with minutes to before the finish button was pressed for the season. Kaz held out though and ended their first season in the Championship in 3rd place, an achievement we can be proud of and build on. Everyone played well there but special mention must go to Andy and Philly who came in and also JW who was stand in keeper. Squad; Warin (GK), Leigh, Nelson, Reynoldson, A.Waz, Barnfather and Beeston. Goals; Beeston (4), Barney (3), Nelson and A.Waz.
