Keep Looking Up!! Posted on October 25, 2014 Good Morning my friends, If you’ve ever read through the Bible from Genesis through Revelations you will see how man has consistently turned their backs on God. We are living in a day where it’s more evident than ever that there’s a HUGE falling away from God and what the Bible teaches. Justifying one’s sin through what we see right in our own eyes. Twisting and contorting Scripture to fit in ways it was never suppose to have been used. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3, “that in the last days perilous times shall come, men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1-7) Preachers preaching prosperity and embracing the ways of the world instead of using God’s Word in the way way that they were ordained to use it. Instead in 2 Timothy 4:1-5, The Bible says to preachers, pastors, “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.” Looking back through the centuries, the prophets declared that there would be a day when history as we know it would come to an end, with the judgement of God and the return of the Messiah. What we’re seeing today is a shuffling on the stage behind the curtain-preparation for the day when “the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ, and He shall reign forever, and ever.” (Revelation 11:15) The Bible is filled with promises of that coming day of glory. It’s pages indicate that when Christ returns, the world will not be expecting Him. Just as the people in Noah’s day did not believe that a flood was coming multitudes today do not believe that God’s judgement is eminent. The flood did come, though, and so will God’s judgment. Jesus calls everyone who knows Him to wait in expectation. Our hands should be busy with His work, but our eyes should be looking up. May your watching for Jesus make you even more active in his service!! “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” (Matthew 24:42) MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…. Keep looking up because our time is drawing neigh. I pray that you have an AMAZING day … Blessings and much love…. D #last24 #keeplookingup
