Keeping it Simple: Many people say that SALVATION is a gift, with the interpretation that once a gift is given that it cannot be altered, or changed in any way by the receiver. In other words they believe all past, present and l future sins after the initial acceptance is covered by the Blood of Jesus, regardless of the sinners further repentance or not. IT IS A GIFT OF GOD. Rom_6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life (SALVATION) through Jesus Christ our Lord. Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. So,God made a way and whosoever (barring none) can receive that gift. Now, the rest of the process is the receivers choice. Take for instance, You give me a gift; I have the choice to receive that gift or not receive it. If I receive it, it is mine, I have to take care of it and make sure it is used for its intended purpose. If I receive it without being familiar with the gift I may need to have correct instructions to put it together and use it. If I receive (Salvation) I must know how not to allow the winds of doctrine carry it into false teachings so as to prevent damage or destruction of the gift. If I do not wish to receive it or to keep it after the initial acceptance of the gift, then I can disregard it, or virtually cast it to the side. But, to receive the full benefit of it and its protection from the adversary, I must keep the gift within myself, and ward off sin in the event that unexpected circumstances occur. Storms come unexpectedly, so does the adversary. Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh (SALVATION is the act of saving one from sin. It is not allowing sin to infiltrate ones life after the gift has been received.) Mat 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Mat 12:44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Mat 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. MAKING IT SIMPLE. This man received salvation, and the sinful unclean spirit left his soul. and went in search of another soul. After searching for a soul in which it could abide and could not find a suitable place to reside (for clean and unclean spirits can not abide in the same soul.) this spirit which had just been expelled from the soul of the unclean man decided to return unto its former home, but now if this man filled his soul with the gift of salvation and had the power of the Holy Spirit residing in him; the unclean spirits could not return to the mans soul, but had he not allowed his soul to be filled with the Holy Spirit and chose to toss his gift of salvation to the side and continue to participate in such things that were sinful; then the previous unclean spirit can take up residence again and not only that one but seven other unclean spirits may claim this soul for the adversary, Therefore, increasing the chances to control that soul to a greater extent and decreasing the souls ability to go and recover the gift of Salvation and the power of the Holy Spirit. USE GODS GIFT WISELY FOR THIS GIFT OF SALVATION HAS THE POWER TO STOP THE WILL (WANT TO) TO SIN IN ITS TRACKS AND TO KEEP THEE UNTIL THE DAY OF REDEMPTION.
